Sometimes, nothing could be better in the world than that bite of chocolate. Today was just one of those days! I am so thankful for one of the world’s finest pleasures in life–a bit of dark chocolate (maybe a bit more than a “bit” ;-))
Sometimes it requires a pitch black night, without city lights, without even the moonshine, to find the stars in the universe. Similarly, sometimes it requires a darkness in our lives to reach out and find our friends. Fortunately we don’t have to wait for that darkness, and our friends can be right there, before s*** hits the fan.
Today’s note of thanks is for our pets. Growing-up we had to beg our parents for pets and of course started with fish, then turtles, hamsters, bunnies, found out mom was allergic to cats–yikes–then finally got our first dog. That dog–a medium-sized poodle–was pretty crazy, but looking back I think it was possibly because we never neutered him…?
Sometimes, being a good doctor is not “good enough”. Taking care of patients, especially breast cancer patients, requires a village and it starts with the person answering the phone and goes all the way back to the person checking a patient out. Today, I am thankful I have such a wonderful staff who not only support me with my needs,
Today is day one of 365 days of sharing my thanks. We all know how important it is to be thankful, and how rewarding it can be to remember what we are thankful for. In this first week of 2018, I am thankful for being healthy and having a healthy family that I could share happy moments with.
